We’ve added a new feature to our store locator platform that makes multilingual locators easier and more seamless for your customers to use.
A new setting called “Autodetect Browser Language” is now available on the Settings page. When enabled, the store locator will automatically detect the visitor’s browser language and display the locator in that language — provided that language has already been configured on your Text Labels page.
For example, if a customer’s browser is set to French and you have French Text Labels installed, the locator will automatically load in French without the customer needing to manually change languages or for you to create a separate page on your website for each language (the pre-existing solution that still works as before if this is how your locator works currently).
Language management remains fully controlled through the Text Labels section: https://www.storelocatorwidgets.com/admin/Languages
The feature has also been designed with graceful fallback behaviour. If a visitor’s browser language has not been added to your Text Labels page, the locator will automatically fall back to whatever language has been configured in your HTML installation code instead (or the Default language if you haven't chosen a language this way). This ensures the locator always loads correctly and avoids untranslated or incomplete interfaces.
This update is particularly useful for businesses operating across multiple countries or regions, helping provide a more localized experience with minimal setup.
