How to add a store link element to your store list

Support > Customising Appearance > How to add a store link element to your store list

A store link element can be added to your Store Layout to link internally within your locator to other stores. Clicking on the store link inside a particular store will cause the locator to show that store at the top of the store list and centered on the map view. Here is an example of how this would appear:

To create a new storelink element in your locator, go to the Layout page and click on the 'Add Element' button to create a new field in your locator. You should choose the 'Store link' element type.

Drag and drop the new field from the column on the right to the place in the location list on the left where you want the new element to appear.

You will then be able to upload information into this field via your Bulk Import file or by manually editing the location in the store editor.

To get a sample import format that includes your new custom element, click here: https://www.storelocatorwidgets.com/admin/export. You should see an additional field for the new custom element that you created above at the far right hand side of the Excel file.

There will be two fields that you can add data to in your import file or Google Sheet. In my example below my element name is 'MyStoreLink':

MyStoreLink - Here you can set the store name (has to match the store name that you want to link to exactly). If you have more than one store with the same name then you can match on the store address. This is done by adding a | character to separate the name from the address then adding the part of the address that you want to match on. This can be any part of the address of the store that uniquely identifies the store. For example, 'My Store Name|Denver' will match on a store called 'My Store Name' with 'Denver' in any part of it's address.

MyStoreLink_text - This field is optional and can be used for the link text. If you don't set this field then the store link text will be the same as the link name above (without the address part after the | character)
